When aspiration feels dangerous.
In Human Design, we are not our minds. And, in fact, our minds can lead us down some really disastrous alleys and thoroughfares because the mind is caught up in masking perceived weaknesses. It is a terrible, lying, unreliable, self-destructive navigator for your most important decisions.
“If I don’t like the rules, I’ll find a new game.”
The peace I now feel, having found inner harmony between the Tribal ambition and the stubborn Individual, has been life-changing — it brought me the radical clarity to release what wasn't me and shift into a whole new experience and timeline that was always there waiting for me — a timeline that is aspirational and grounded no matter what's happening around me.
The Gift that Broke My Heart.
I was ten. It was Christmas. It was the one obscure package under the tree for me that wasn't something necessary (like PJs and socks and underwear) or traditional (like Tinkerbell perfume) — it was the surprise.
Conditioning, De-conditioning, and the True Self
Conditioning is neatly labeled "socialization," but the truth is that it's about fitting in — conforming to society's standards and the status quo, no matter how ill-fitting these rules and demands might be for the individual.
No more "Human Resources"
Human Design recognizes that we're not all built the same. We each need different "nutrients" in our environment and teams to catalyze our creativity. Human Design supports the shift from optimizing resources for the organization to optimizing resources for the individual.
How do I love thee? By honoring Type, Strategy, and Authority.
There is nothing more exquisite than the unconditional acceptance of our individual uniqueness — but we can't fully see or appreciate the uniqueness of another until we fully see and appreciate the uniqueness in ourselves.
“The Power Broker” (Human Design Channel of Surrender)
The energy of the Power Broker is vital to remaining competitive, instead of going the way of a Kodak or a Blockbuster. Even the best have to be willing to continuously reinvent themselves if they want to survive.
“I’m here to build a brand.”
These are the words I said when Tim Gunn asked "Why Project Runway?" during my audition. I'm convinced that it was my outlier profile and the clarity of my purpose that got me on Season 3. I lasted one episode. And now that I know my Human Design, I *really* know why.
Breaking free from the "success" script.
We've all been sold a bill of goods about what success looks like, feels like, sounds like, and it's usually anchored in some sort of material aspiration or external validation which isn’t the same as genuine fulfillment. Your Human Design can help you break free, creating a success script unique to you.
Your Human Design holds clues to your happiness.
