Overcoming the undefined ego.

This episode is for all of those Undefined and Open Ego/Heart centers. When it comes to conditioning of the undefined and open centers in Human Design, the Heart/Ego center is at the top of the hierarchy in terms of creating difficult dilemmas in our lives around self-esteem and self-worth, variations on the theme of self-confidence. In fact, this brief video clip of Ra Uru Hu explaining how to flip the self-worth equation is one of my favorites—it demonstrates his deep compassion (his ego was defined) and sensitivity to the challenge for those of us (myself included) living with an open or undefined Ego.

When 65% of the population has an undefined or open ego, there's great potential for a crisis of confidence, which leads to settling for less than what we deserve, making promises we can't keep, and doing things to impress others instead of simply doing what makes us happy. All of these "not self" actions where we operate out of alignment with our true nature culminate in lives of discontent and resentment. Freeing ourselves from the clutches of "what everyone else thinks" about who we are or what value we bring to the world begins with self-awareness, and self-awareness happens with self-knowledge, and the truth of who you truly are becomes inescapable when you meet your Human Design for the first time.

This podcast is extremely special in that it features, Sue Reid, Confidence Coach with an Undefined Ego. It shows what's possible for the 65% of us who do not enter this life with a clear sense of our worth — in fact, we are here to figure out just what that means.

I met Sue in a Facebook group for new podcasters, The Lightworkers Tribe. When she introduced herself, I was drawn to her gentle nature and approached her about doing a podcast swap. Her gentle nature intrigued me, given that she was a Confidence Coach — I'm used to more animated, blustery, extroverted types — and I wanted to learn more about her through her Human Design, so we decided to include a brief reading in her interview. I love when a person's design reflects their life's journey and personal mythology: where there challenges have been, and how they've used those challenges to grow wise.

I give Sue an abridged version of my "Superpowers and Kryptonite" Human Design chart reading, which provides a practical overview of her Human Design, including her energy type, decision-making authority, definition + conditioning  (centers and splits), profile lines and life theme/purpose, and talents.
